How to choose an effective toothpaste

  • Fluoride content : Intestinal concentration is 1000 to 1450 ppm for adults, 500 ppm or less recommended for children
  • Abrasive Content : Tooth surface coloring,plaque removal, hypoallergenic recommended
  • Surfactant types : lathers well, but irritating to the mouth
  • Consider specialty ingredients Check ingredients for syringe, gum care, whitening, etc.

Look for silicon dioxide (a hypoallergenic abrasive) and sodium pyrophosphate.
